Terms and conditions for using CVEalert.io services

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CVEalert.io (“Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of the Service
CVEalert.io provides automated monitoring of publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities (CVEs) and delivers alerts based on software selections made by users.
The Service:
- Uses publicly available vulnerability data (including data from the National Vulnerability Database - NVD)
- Provides informational alerts only
- Does not scan your infrastructure
- Does not verify software versions
- Does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of vulnerability data
The Service is a monitoring tool and is not a substitute for a comprehensive security program, vulnerability management process, or professional security advice.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities conducted under your account
- Ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe).
- Subscriptions are billed monthly from the date of activation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time through the billing portal.
Refunds are not guaranteed and may be provided at our sole discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding publicly sourced CVE data), is the intellectual property of the operator.
You retain any rights to data you configure within your account (such as selected software entries).
6. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous or uninterrupted availability
- That alerts will be delivered without delay
- That all vulnerabilities will be identified or reported
The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We expressly disclaim any warranties of:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness of vulnerability information
Security decisions remain solely your responsibility.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- We are not liable for damages resulting from missed vulnerabilities, incorrect alerts, delays, service interruptions, or data inaccuracies.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
If you are using a free plan, our total liability is limited to EUR 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.
Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will update the “lastUpdated” date.
Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
